Chicago Dr. Bar & Indian Grill: Authentic Indian Cuisine Meets Vibrant Bar Vibes in Grandville, MI

Dive bar vibes with really good Indian food. I hadn't been to Chicago Dr. Pub in years, but my curiosity was peaked when I heard that they had new owners and were serving Indian food. I chuckled a bit to see that the decor hadn't changed much, but the food was amazing. We shared the samosas. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala while my husband had the Chicken Curry. The food blew us away. We hope to become regulars.

I’m going to come out and say it. I’m a food snob. I cook and I have an extremely high standard of food, especially when I make food at home that is better than most restaurants. That being said, I was blown away by the quality and flavors of Indian food that are being offered at Chicago Drive Pub and Indian grill. The Samosa was nicely spiced and the crust cooked to a perfect golden brown. The Chicken Tikka Masala, (also called Buttered Chicken) is the best that I have had at any Indian restaurant in the Grand Rapids area. And believe me, I tried most of the Indian restaurants in town. The Garlic Naan was fresh and savory and left me craving for more. I can’t wait to return again and explore the rest of the menu. I will bring my wife, who also is a food snob, and delight her with the hidden gem that I have discovered at the Chicago Drive Pub and Indian Grill.

Looking for a local bar with great food, music, and drinks at a great price? This is the spot! My friends and I had an amazing time here for ladies’ night. The music was a perfect mix. Loved the early 2000s throwbacks. It’s a vibe! Can’t wait to come back for our double date.

Amazing food, got the chicken Tikka Masala and it has a great balance of spice and creaminess. The garlic naan amplifies the flavors in such a pleasant way and the naan’s texture is soft. The place was dead for a Saturday around 7pm. THIS PLACE NEEDS MORE BUSINESS. It’s such. Good. Food. And our server(main bartender) had an amazing attitude and didn’t let slow business stop him from bringing in good vibes.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Chicago Drive Pub and Indian Grill, and it was an amazing experience! This restaurant brings the rich, authentic flavors of India to our city in the most remarkable way—it’s truly a hidden gem and, in my view, one of the very best Indian dining spots around. A special shout-out to Chef Kumar, the heart behind the kitchen. With his extensive experience and passion for Indian cuisine, he has perfected the balance of authenticity and personal touch. Every dish reflects his mastery, making the food not just delicious, but memorable.

I work nearby and am so glad to have some variety of food in town. I ordered take out and the food was waiting for me when I got there. The staff member was pleasant and the food was delicious. I will be ordering there again and sending my coworkers that way too

So happy we stumbled upon this place. While the atmosphere leaves something to be desired, the food and service made up for it. We loved the Indian food, and we will definitely be back! Don't skip the garlic naan! It's delicious!
